What MAMAY is and how the window works
Level:
Short version for experts: tables, lists and screenshots only.
Words in this lesson (6)
Arbitrage — Making money on the price difference of the same thing in two places: buy where it's cheaper, sell where it's more expensive.
Order book — The list of all buy and sell orders at every price at this very second.
Setup — A ready trading rule: under what condition to enter, in which direction, where the stop and the target are.
Screener — A filtering program: it scans hundreds of stocks or coins and shows only those that match the given criteria.
Deposit (account) — The money in your trading account.
DEMO — The DEMO account in MAMAY: prices and fees are real, orders don't go to the exchange, and no real money is at risk.
What this program is
MAMAY is a trading terminal. One window holds what usually takes five websites and three programs:
| What | Where in MAMAY |
|---|---|
| Arbitrage across six crypto exchanges | the "Cryptocurrency" and "Trading" menu blocks |
| US stock screeners | the "US stocks" block |
| Russian stock screeners | the "Russian stocks (MOEX)" block |
| Chart and order book for any market, orders for crypto | the "Terminal" tab |
| Checking what the signals really deliver | "Signal performance" |
What the window is made of
- The menu on the left. Items are grouped into blocks: "Trading", "Cryptocurrency", "US stocks" and so on. Click a block's name to expand it. The block with the open tab is always expanded.
- The DEMO / REAL switch under the logo. While you're learning, stay in DEMO: trades there use no real money. More in the next lesson.
- The "Account" block at the bottom of the menu. In DEMO mode it shows all three DEMO accounts at once: Crypto (broken down by exchange), Russian stocks in rubles and US stocks in dollars, and at the top — the total in dollars and the result since the start. Click an account row to see the details. The "👁 hide" button hides the amounts — handy if you're sharing your screen or recording a video.
- The tab on the right — whatever you've chosen in the menu.
Zones: the main way to work
Almost every tab is made of zones — rectangular blocks with a header. You can do three things with a zone:
- drag it by the header — change the order;
- pull the bottom edge — change the height;
- close it with the cross — hide what you don't use.
MAMAY remembers the layout of each tab separately.
Where to find a hint
- Screener screens have a "❓ How to use" button (or a small "?" circle). It opens a plain-language description of every column in the table.
- Hover over a column header or a button to see a short explanation.
- You can ask the mentor at any time — it's to the right of this lesson.
- The lesson list on the left is easy to browse: clicking an open section collapses it, ⇕ at the top collapses everything, search finds a lesson by keywords, and the panel icon hides the whole list, leaving only the section icons. MAMAY remembers how you left it.
Remember one rule for the whole course: in MAMAY the score says "will there be a strong move", not "which way". Where to enter is shown only by setups with tested statistics. We'll come back to this in every track.
