DEMO and REAL: where the money is real
Short version for experts: tables, lists and screenshots only.

Two modes
Under the MAMAY logo there's a switch with two buttons.
| DEMO | REAL | |
|---|---|---|
| Market data | real, live | real, live |
| Balances | DEMO starting capital | the real balances on your exchanges |
| Orders and transfers | no real money | real (if your keys allow it) |
| "Real rebalancing" tab | hidden | visible |
DEMO is not a "toy". Prices, order books, spreads and signals are the same as in REAL. The only difference is that the trade is recorded in the journal instead of going to the exchange. So in DEMO you can honestly check whether you're getting it right, without risking money.
How to switch
- Click Real.
- MAMAY shows a warning and asks you to confirm — click "Switch".
- The window reloads, now in real mode.
To go back — the same way, with the Demo button.
Three DEMO accounts
In DEMO each market has its own account in its own currency: Crypto in dollars, Russian stocks in rubles, US stocks in dollars. All three are shown in the "Account" block on the left, together with the total.
Equity curve by account
The "Equity curve" widget on the "Desk" shows whether your money is growing. In DEMO there are four buttons above the chart:
| Button | What's on the chart |
|---|---|
| All accounts $ | all three accounts together, in dollars |
| Crypto $ | the crypto account only |
| Russian stocks ₽ | the Russian stocks account only, in rubles |
| US stocks $ | the US stocks account only |
The curve is the starting amount plus your trading result. In the combined curve, rubles are converted into dollars at one rate — today's Central Bank of Russia rate — for every point: if the ruble gets cheaper, the curve doesn't drop because of it; only trades move it.
Below the chart: the maximum intraday drawdown (the deepest fall of capital from a previous peak over the whole recording period), the annualized return, how long the recording has been running, and "what drove the result" rows. For the combined curve, that's each market's contribution.
Starting DEMO over
You can reset the DEMO accounts at any time — in Settings:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| "Starting capital (Demo)" → "Apply" next to an account | sets a new amount for one account and restarts only that one; other accounts and their trades stay untouched |
| "Reset DEMO" | starts a new attempt on all three accounts with the same amounts |
An attempt is the period from one reset to the next. When DEMO is reset, all DEMO trades are cleared from the screen, the equity curve starts over, and the result of the previous attempt is saved in the "Previous attempts" table (Settings → "Trading and risk" → "Starting capital (Demo)"). That way you can see how the result changed from attempt to attempt. When only one account is restarted, the table records only that account's result, marked with its market.
Settings, keys and screener signal logs stay in place after a reset. Both buttons work only in DEMO mode and ask for confirmation.
When to move to REAL
The order that protects your account:
- Go through the lessons of the track you plan to trade.
- Make at least 20–30 trades in DEMO using the same rule.
- Open the "Journal" and look at the result: the share of winning trades and the Profit Factor (total profits divided by total losses; above 1 — the system is profitable).
- Only if you're happy with the result — connect keys with trading permission and switch to REAL with the minimum size.
