Step 2. Connection and safety

Arbitrage — Making money on the price difference of the same thing in two places: buy where it's cheaper, sell where it's more expensive.

Screener — A filtering program: it scans hundreds of stocks or coins and shows only those that match the given criteria.

Position — An open trade: what you have bought or sold and haven't closed yet.

Deposit (account) — The money in your trading account.

DEMO — The DEMO account in MAMAY: prices and fees are real, orders don't go to the exchange, and no real money is at risk.

2.1. Exchange keys

A key is the pass MAMAY uses to see your account. It's created in your exchange account, in the "API" section.

For each exchange:

Exchange account → API → "Create key".
Permissions: tick only "Read". Don't enable trading or withdrawals for now.
Bind the key to your IP address — the exchange will offer this when creating it. Then the key works only from your computer.
The exchange shows the key and the secret. The secret is shown only once — paste it into MAMAY right away.
MAMAY → Settings → "Exchanges and connections" → the exchange keys card → paste the key and the secret → save.

Only you enter the key and the secret, and only in the MAMAY window. Don't send them to anyone. The mentor and support never ask for them.

About VPN. The exchanges work without a VPN. If a VPN is on, your computer's address is different and the exchange rejects requests. If you need a VPN for something else, add MAMAY to the VPN's exclusions (there's a hint in the left panel under the "Refresh connection" button).

2.2. Mode and DEMO starting capital

DEMO must be on under the logo.
Settings → "Trading and risk" → "Starting capital (Demo)". There are three fields — one per market, each with its own "Apply" button:

Set amounts close to those you plan to trade with for real, and click "Apply" next to each account. Learning on a million and trading on a thousand is pointless.

"Apply" restarts only that account: it gets the new amount, its DEMO trades are cleared from the screen, and its equity curve starts over. The other accounts, their trades and open positions stay untouched: you can change the stock amount while crypto trading is running. MAMAY will ask you to confirm. The previous account's result isn't lost — it stays in the "Previous attempts" table in the same card, marked with its market.

To restart all three accounts at once, with the same amounts — the "Reset DEMO" button at the bottom of the settings.

The balance in the "Account" block is never negative: the minimum is zero.

2.3. Telegram notifications

MAMAY → Notifications → "Connect Telegram".
In the Telegram window that opens, tap Start in the MAMAY bot.

There's one bot for all markets, and signals follow your screener settings (with the Pro subscription). Each market has a master Telegram switch and checkboxes per screener.

2.4. Real-time Russian stocks

In your Alor broker account, get a token for programs.
MAMAY → Settings → "Exchanges and connections" → the MOEX connection card → paste the token → check the connection.

2.5. The mentor (AI) — optional

Lessons can be read without it. The mentor answers questions and reviews screenshots and your trades.

The mentor works through your AI — the one you're used to:

MAMAY → Settings → "Program" → "Artificial intelligence" → choose a service.
Paste the key (not needed for a model on your computer) → "Save".
Pick a model from the list — MAMAY gets it from the service itself → "Check".

A subscription like ChatGPT Plus doesn't give you an API key: the key is created in the service's developer console and paid for separately.

If you're in Russia. YandexGPT, GigaChat and a model on your computer work without any risk.

YandexGPT: in the aistudio.yandex.ru console, create an API key and copy the folder ID. In MAMAY paste the key and enter the model by hand: gpt://<folder ID>/yandexgpt/latest. After that, the list of Yandex models appears by itself.
GigaChat: on developers.sber.ru → GigaChat API → "Get key", copy the whole "Authorization key" and paste it into MAMAY. Sber uses a certificate from the Russian Ministry of Digital Development: if MAMAY says it doesn't trust the certificate, install it from gosuslugi.ru/crt and restart the program.
Claude and ChatGPT are closed from Russia. They're connected via the "proxy for AI" in the same settings — then only the AI goes through the proxy, while the exchanges work as usual. Don't turn on a VPN for the whole computer: under a VPN the exchanges reject keys. You need a foreign card, and the service may block an account from Russia — that's a risk for the key owner.

Cloud AI answers are paid — charged to your key. With a model on your computer there's nothing to pay.

My trained agent

If you've already trained your own agent — a custom GPT, a Claude project, a Gemini Gem, a DeepSeek chat — the mentor can know you just as well.

In the "My trained AI agent" card, click "Copy the prompt for your agent".
Ask your agent this prompt where it knows you — in your GPT, project, Gem or a chat with memory.
Paste the answer into the field (or upload it as a file) → "Save profile".

Now the mentor takes into account your markets, style, rules, mistakes and how best to talk to you. The profile is stored only on this computer. Don't put passwords or account numbers in it.
